Dr. Leonidas Ntziachristos is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his research interests include combustion and pollutants formation, including instrumentation and techniques to measure such emissions. He is currently coordinating the H2020 SCIPPER project on monitoring of vessel emissions and is partner to Horizon Europe projects EMERGE and ENGIMMONIA on environmental impacts of scrubbers and the development of a marine ammonia engine. Finally, his team are partner to project UPTOME on the use of methanol as a marine fuel.
